Wrong

Wrong

BandRockPunk

Eclectic, is probably the best way to describe the music and performance. Wrong does originals in different genres, from love songs, to hard hitting fast punk songs, to r and b inspired jams. The only consistent theme is that it's all wrong, from the lyrics to the over usage of major chords.

Biography

Over ten years ago, Carl, Robby, Dan and Jimb were hanging out at Carl's apartment recording anything that came to mind while drinking and generally not taking it too seriously. After listening to the atrocities formed on said tape they decided that the name of the band would have to be Wrong, because that was the first thing that came to mind after reviewing the material.
Fast forward to ten years later, Wrong's written dozens and dozens of songs and played hundreds of gigs. They are currently playing with their friend Bliggy on drums, stepping in for Carl who has moved out to LA and is currently playing with Perry Farrell and Nuno Bettencourt's band Satellite Party. They've also recently added on their good friend Drinky on the keys.
What sets Wrong apart from other bands is that they do not limit themselves to any particular genre of music. Their influences range from the classic love songs of Air Supply to the monster rock of the Melvins. Occasionally, when they are inspired by an artist or a song they deem wrong, they will write an original song in that genre. For instance, just recently they wrote a new Morrissey inspired song called "Scattered Showers Over London".
Despite the somewhat controversial lyrics and the eclectic nature of the music, Wrong tends to appeal to a wide audience and is well received in most venues.
