That is a question asked often in High Divide‘s latest single ‘Jaw Dropped’, and right now seems to be a sentiment that is more poignant and relevant than ever.
The track battles against this idea of time marching on, evading our grasp and slipping away from us without any real way to fight it or resist. Named for the towering ridgeline that bisects the Olympic Mountains, High Divide is a Seattle based independent band who recently put out their sophomore release. What Follows moves on from the bands americana roots, delving further into experimental soundscapes and indie rock instrumentation. The bands second album is the culmination of years of songwriting and recording, and is without a doubt their best work yet.
