"High Top Society opening for Me First and the Gimme Gimme's"

"They opened the show with their unique brand of punk and ska music. The young group played a fun set, feeding off of each other through out and clearly demonstrating that they like to party. This was fitting for their closing song, “Lets Get Weird”, encouraging the audience to do just that."
- Lauren Garbutt, Aesthetic Magazine Toronto

"High Top Society @ The Phoenix"

"The band is able to dish out a lot of energy, and a lot of traditional 90’s punk vocal snarls. They were able get heads bobbing and the spirit flowing for what was a very positive night". - Robby Pavlovsky, Live Music Toronto

Bio

High Top Society is a punk-ska-reggae quartet from Port Perry, ON consisting of front man James Shaw (Lead Vocals/ Guitar), Twin brothers Ryan Lowe (Lead Guitar/ Misc Instruments & Vocals) & Matt Lowe (Drums & Percussion) and Shaun Lloyd (Bass & Vocals).

Since conception in June 2010, the four punk rockers have traveled across Ontario in their Montana mini van performing at sold out venues, bars & clubs while sharing the stage with Die Mannequin, The 3 Tards, The Balconies, Street Pharmacy, Ill Scarlett, KO, The Johnstone's, U.S.S, Hollerado, Courage My Love and Me First & the Gimme Gimmes. The band has been well received in the G.T.A after performing at big music festivals such as Canadian Music Week, Big On Bloor, Edge Fest Jingle Bell Rock, Wolf Stock and Reel Music Festival as well as being featured on City TVs Viral Video Of The Week for "Punk Rock Grandma".

Known for their musically infused genre of Punk/ Ska/ Reggae & Rock the band combines technical elements of extended guitar solos, progressive song structures & timing changes that will make you question how they play it live while jumping, spinning, and dancing the whole time. After spending over a year in and out of studios in Toronto & London the band is set to release their new E.P in Spring 2014!
