"Coffee and Cakes For Funerals, The Cold One Hundred, Highfields, Collectors Club, Nadine Carina: The Shipping Forecast, Liverpool"

By the time Highfields took to the stage, the Ship was bustling. Fronted by the charismatic Robert Mulder, Highfields seamlessly mix folk and pop sensibilities and churn out something altogether new. And they put on a damn good show. Tonight was no exception as they rattled through a mixture of new and old tracks ending on crowd-pleaser Waste of Space. - Liverpool Echo

"Guy Chambers Discovers HighFields"

Guy discovered Highfields at Liverpool’s LIPA earlier this year when he was up there giving a masterclass! We’re very much looking forward to them gracing the Orgsmatron stage on the 29th November! - THE ORGASMATRON

"Review by Peter Guy, Liverpool Echo"

In keeping with the musical tone, Canada-come-Norway-come-Jersey-via-South Africa and Singapore, but Liverpool-based Highfields squashed their expansive line up - which included a xylophone, accordion and cello - onto the Ship stage. Well, just about.

And they gain our interest from the off. With an expansive array of instruments, sounds and ideas, their performance is a real mish mash; sometimes subtle and so light on the ear, while at other times so vocally powerful on the soul.

Robert Mulders' voice was the superb stand out and conveyed everything that Highfields set out to do - and drove it home, hard. - Liverpool Echo

Bio

Hailing from Canada, Norway, Jersey, South Africa, Singapore, and based in Liverpool, HighFields' 6 members combine their eclectic styles and tastes to create a uniquely fresh take on western folk/pop music. All the members are close friends, and multi-instrumentalists which translates into a natural and energetic stage presence. They recently performed at a showcase run by Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams, Rufus Wainwright, James Blunt...) and are currently working on their debut EP with Jon Withnall (Coldplay, Elbow, Rhianna...).
