Feeling a bit camera shy

HighStakes has always been a around hip hop thanks to his only sister who listened to tapes and the radio non stop. For HighStakes born Will Harrison music as a whole was not the main focus in life. A life changing incident which led to a bout with depression is actually led to HighStakes playing on the boards. It was a work in process but thru determination it didn't take long before his production was being sought after.Starting as a producer in 2005 by 2007 when things weren't moving in the direction HighStakes took matters into his own hands and started recording himself. By 2008 HighStakes had grown into a credible emcee. In late 2009 he built his own studio and got to work on his first album "All In". :All In" was completed by January 2010 . One single was released off the album "What's Ya Problem" at all major digital outlets. But without a budget and a uneasy feeling about how music was evolving HighStakes scrapped that album and decided to work on his second album "Saturday Morning". "Saturday Morning" was completed in a matter of three months and ultimately was the material presented to Def Jam VP Lenny Santiago live in the summer 2010 thru DA MEETING MAN Scoe. As expected Def Jam passed. HighStakes himself said it probably wasn't a good idea to diss their flopping artist but thats Stakes. So today as we stand HighStakes is as motivated as ever. With better understanding of the business and different things that need to take place before an artist like himself can flourish in hip hop HighStakes is destined to make a dent in the game!
