Highwater String Band

Highwater String Band

The Highwater String Band brings together hard driving Kansas/Missouri Bluegrass and old time. We mix together blistering originals and bluegrass standards into a melting pot of music that can be enjoyed by all ages.

The Highwater String Band is a five piece string band, playing guitar, mandolin, banjo, upright bass, fiddle, dobro, autoharp, mountain dulcimer, and whatever else we can get our hands on. You can catch us in the towns and cornfields surrounding Kansas, Missouri and all states around. As always we will be in the Pecan Grove the third weekend of September at the Walnut Valley Festival.

The Highwater String Band is currently recording their new album set to be released the first part of 2010. The HWSB also has two out of print cd's one self titled and the other Chicken Picknick.

HWSB has been heard on "Its Branson Tonight" a nationally syndicated radio show and currently has songs on Front Porch Radio at http://www.Frontporchradio.net and can be heard at the bands website http://www.highwaterstringband.com
