Between their latest creation Les Cavaliers de lAurès with Houria Aïchi and their new creation in 2012, LHijâzCar grew, enlisting double bass player Vincent Posty. With brute energy and distant colours, LHijâzCar scoffs at borders and residence permits. Mediterranean trance is added to occidental lyricism, stateless improvisations respond to powerful arrangements, alternating between dark, torn themes, bygone, melancholic stories and todays poetry
