Israeli trio Hillhar look at their music as being as much about raising self-consciousness and channelling change, as creating excellent electro-infused pop. As you can tell from Sorry, they succeed well on both fronts.
There’s a lilting yet psychedelic air to the track, with shades of Air and The Beatles flowing though the piece like an unhurried pastoral stream. The fusion of acoustic and electronic sounds, subtle phrasing and a soft melody underpin the ethereal vocals and personal, poignant lyrics.
The band had this to say about the inspiration behind Sorry: “I t’s a song that speaks about saying sorry from the heart, toward another person, but mostly toward yourself. Taking responsibility for the past immediately changes the present and influences the future.”
Sorry features on the band’s recent Silent Blare album which you can stream in full on Spotify. The band are preparing for the release of their Earthly Divine EP which is due for release later this year – keep an eye on their Facebook page for more information. - Mark Buckley - AnalogueTrash

Bio
Hillhar is an Israeli electro pop-rock trio that began to independently operate in 2013. The band formed through underground performances before a devoted and closely-knit audience that grew larger, one performance after another.
The band was born out of a musical belief that saw music as a tool to bring people together. They seek to use music to awaken consciousness, create inspiration for all who listen, and bring a message of change. The members of the band are: Louharya (vocals and keyboard), Assaf Twina (keyboard, vocals, guitars, computer and Ableton), and Dar Bachar (vocals & guitars).
With the help of their musical creations, the members of the band create a collection of different musical styles and influences that merge electronic and technological instruments with real time acoustic instruments. The band receives its inspiration from different musical styles – from a powerful rock guitar all the way to electrifying analogue synths. At times the motivating force is an electric rave drum machine or percussions that resemble a dusky jazz – club – but more than anything else, the outer space-dream like atmosphere is hard to miss.
Earthly Divine is the band's first album in the English language, and the band will begin its international tour in 2019.
