Midwest (Rockford/Chicago) hip-hop/rap artist J-LP recently released the awaited third installment of his popular "Sniff This B*tch" mixtape series, hosted by Dallas rapper Dorrough aka Mr. Ice Cream Paint Job had over 5k views on various websites from coast 2 coast to datpiff.com.
Over the last years, J-LP created a heavy buzz for himself — not only in the Midwest — but from coast to coast with "Sniff This B*tch" with previous hosts DJ G-Spot (Chicago Power 92) and DJ Vlad (Executive Vice President of SRC/Loud.com).
Last year, J-LP graced the stage alongside Hip-Hop heavyweights such as Rick Ross, Twista, Ludacris, Brisco, and Pleasure P at numerous DUB Show Tour stops — upcoming performances at DUB shows in Denver, San Diego, and Las Vegas later this year.
In 2008, the Chicago rhymespitter was honored with a prestigious award at the Underground Music Awards (UMA) as "Best Midwest Rapper" and major printed and online publications took notice and featured J-LP including URB Magazine, The Source, Yo! Raps and even TV invited him as a guest on the premium movie channel Starz In Black's show "Hip-Hop Raw & Uncut".
All these achievements have lead to serious label callings, but as of yet J-LP is still going the independent route until the right situation for his current and future career comes up.
His debut album which features collaborations with Ray J, Young Buck among others, its still in progress but until the day of release, J-LP will make sure to feed his fans and music lovers with mixtape by mixtape.
