Présentation d'une académie pour l'underground, et non pas d'une académie pour stars :)


Underground Academy est une structure regroupant un label de rap, une société de management et un coordinateur de concerts, soirées et de productions en France et aux States...

Exercant sous la devise "Worldwide Hip Hop", cette academy est bel et bien frenchie, dirigée par Oliver & Danny, assistés par Clélia & Nadia...
En essayant de briser les frontières, il fournissent donc un pont entre l'Amérique & la France, mais aussi l'Afrique, la Chine ...

Ils sont ainsi à l'origine de pas mal de duos franco-américains en ayant par exemple coordonner:
Ol'Kainry avec Raekwon et Buckshot
Saïan Supa Crew avec Brand Nubian et The Dwellas
Sully Sefil avec Afu-Ra
Triptik avec Blahzay Blahzay
MelGroove avec Das EFX

etc ...


L'histoire commence en 1999, avec la création du label "The Originators" par Oliver N'Guessan & Dj Cam...
Plusieurs Maxis & E.P's ont vu le jour, avec notamment Big L, Noreaga, Group Home...

En 2001, Olivier s'associe à Dany Bill (champion du monde de Boxe thaï mais également passioné de Hip Hop)...

Cette association va donc entraîner la naissance du label "Underground Academy", qui, depuis 2002, mise sur l'Underground de la grosse pomme, en sortant par exemple le morceau "My Life", de Tribeca & Pharoahe Monch...


Ils sont actuellement en préparation d'une compilation, "Who Killed The Hip Hop", prévue pour la fin 2005, avec 26 tracks, regroupant des artistes comme Afu-Ra, Cocoa Brovaz, Cappadonna, The Dwellas, Raekwon, et des apparitions de Dj Storm, Akon, Krs One, Tamir de Lyricist Lounge etc...
Le producteur français Jazz E Cut sera derrière les manettes...

À cette longue liste viennent encore s'ajouter des Dj's, des BeatMakers, et même des artistes Funk & Soul !

Mister Watson: Mdr. Sinon, comment s'est passé la connexion avec Afu-ra??

Fat Flow Staff: Il est venu au studio grâce a JAZZ E CUT et on s'est mis d'accord sur une instru qu'il a kiffé donc on a choisi le thème ensemble. On a écrit et enregisté le morceau dans la foulée. Il y a eu une bonne osmose entre nous et par la suite on a fait sa première partie en Allemagne. JAZZ E CUT : c'est un producteur qui a le studio BIZ STREET à Metz. On y a enregistré l'album et tous nos maxis ,et qui taffe avec UNDERGROUND ACADEMY. Le label de Olivier N'GUESSAN et Dany BILL.

Although this track is sound, it’s just not somethin’ I can find myself feelin’. The beat is on-point, the lyrics are on-point, and the flow is cool but I’m just not a huge fan of upbeat, get on your feet and clap type joints. Feel it out for yourself though, U.G. comes correct so don’t sleep on this by any means.

As a Perverted Monk he has released 6 successful 12singles between 2001 and 2004 establishing themselves as a leading independent hip hop group. They toured with notable Artist like Smith N Wesson, Black Moon, Gangstar, Nickleback, Brand Nubian, MOP, Cardinal Official, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Puddle of Mud, Def Jux All-stars, Mobb Deep, Busta Rhymes, Tony Touch, Main Flow, Master Killer of Wu Tang, High N Mighty Non Phixon and The Pharcyde just to name a few. They were featured in the SOURCE off the Radar(feb.04) and Vibe magazine (feb.04). As a solo artist, in 2003, he released a single Lyrical Showers featuring Afu-Ra, that created a buzz overseas & in us/French/germen underground. This single as well as the New single from Afu-Ra ft. Respect, I love my hip-hop - released 2005, were released by the label Underground Academy. He has worked as a writer with the ghost writing company Hook Masterz Entertainment working with Nick Cannon (Drumline), Afu-Ra, AAP Artist Gary Paul, and many more! Before the Monks Respect (Tha god) was, & still is, a member of the Caged Confined Clique (Dy-verze; Danga; Vizion; Respect). As a member of this team, Respect & Dy-verze created a sub squad called DEM NGGZ (Destin to Elevate Minds - Nameless Grassless Ganjonians in a Zone). Respect & Dy-verze were nominated for Long Island Music award WITHOUT a deal and toured around the Long Island with the likes of Leaders of the New school, Breeze Ever flowing, Fan Five, etc. - Respect

Brooklyn-bred emcee Yah Supreme made a splash in the indie hip-hop scene with producer Cave Precise. Their first 12", "Old & Wise" was widely received and paved the way for them to release subsequent singles and a compilation on their label, Son Doo Recordings. In addition to releasing material through Paris' Underground Academy, Yah is performing regularly in New York City with his band Brohemian. Buttressed by drums, percussion, bass, keys and multi-part female harmonies the "Yah Supreme sound" has greater depth and finesse. Best described as "atmospheric hip-hop" his classic-soul inflected arrangements coalesce with plaintive anecdotes and earnest introspection - yah supreme

Cave Precise (Ron Ramey) juxtaposes recombined fragments from his massive vinyl collection with poignant melodies performed on the instruments in his Jersey City studio. Known mostly for his work with SonDoo Recordings, a label he started in 1997 with Yah Supreme and Daniel Yang, he has become an underground hip hop legend.

Born in St. Louis, Cave grew up studying saxophone and trumpet from age 10 until graduating a performing arts high school. He briefly turned his attention to theater while attending college, only to delve back into music. Armed with a newly purchased turntable and an Ensoniq EPS sampler, he became a DJ for a rock band while producing crude demos for local rappers in New Haven, CT.

Upon his return to St. Louis in 1993, Cave met SupaFlexXx (Wilson Hankins). Flex, a veteran producer with impressive credits gained from his work in both St. Louis and Oakland, quickly became a mentor for the aspiring beatsmith. Over the course of the next 3 years, Cave soaked up every bit of studio knowledge he could. The two became close friends and continue to work together to this day as Monsta Music Group.

In 1996, the raw and hungry young producer struck out for New York, eager to prove his mettle in the birthplace of hip hop. Long hours as a temp provided funds for badly needed equipment but not much sleep, as he labored away every free moment he had in the back room of a vacant Brooklyn factory that served as both his home and the offices of SonDoo Recordings.

The fledgling label announced its arrival in 1998 with the release of Yah Supreme's "Old & Wise," an unheralded record which received immediate recognition. Hip hop pioneers like DJ Premier and Pete Rock gave the single burn on major mix shows and the imprint was on the map. SonDoo would go on to release seven singles through Fat Beats and Landspeed, as well as a compilation album through the Paris-based Underground Academy.

With the labelís hiatus in 2002, Cave began to pursue the many opportunities now presented to him. He recorded a groundbreaking instrumental EP with experimental composer jenghizkhan ‚ Man From Planet Risk's "Escaping Chixalub"‚ while continuing to work with a host of emcees, producing and remixing tracks for Common, sticman (of dead prez), Afu-Ra, C-Rayz Walz, Anom, Altered St8s of Consciousness and the legendary Last Poets. He also produced tracks for jazz-rock band Artanker Convoy and punk rock outfit !M.O.O.B. In his spare time, Cave plays the bass and drums.

Dále potìším hlavnì fandy famózního Boot Camp Click a to novým singlem "Stay Real" s b-stranou "12 inch barrel" z chystaného alba "Total Eclipse" (na pultech by mìlo být kolem 8.øíjna) party Black Moon a návratem pistolníkù Cocoa Brovaz v podobì singlu "Back In The Day" distribuovaného ovšem nikoliv pøes DuckDown, ale na nadìjném labelu Underground Academy. Za zmínku stojí ještì "návrat" crew ve složení Warren G, Nate Dogg a Snoop - 213 . Ale to je spíše jen taková - bbarak
