His Name Was Iron

His Name Was Iron is a five piece band from the swamp lands of Jacksonville, Florida. Beginning in the fall of 2007, the band is moving at light-speed, quickly becoming one of the most sought after acts in their area. Toeing the line of hardcore and metal, mixed with southern sensibilities and a huge spoonful of rock, these boys have literally created an unstoppable force in the North Florida’s music scene. The band consists of, Sean Slater-vocals, Evan Paulinski-guitar, Ryan Porter-guitar, James Raneri-bass and Shawn Taunton-drums. His Name Was Iron has somehow done, in a very short amount of time, what usually takes most bands years to acquire- a sure sense of self. With their go-lucky attitude and raw determination these boys are well on their way to the top of the stack. Best described as the “fun at the bottom of a bottle”, or a non-stop vacation at Disneyland, this band walks a path less trodden. Thankfully, in a world filled with “cookie cutter” bands and their music, His Name Was Iron truly stands on the other side of the road.
