Bio
Heather Kelly is an award-winning communications professional with 15 years of music marketing experience. She has managed successful marketing and media relations campaigns for major music festivals, concerts, CD launch events, national CD releases, tours, music awards programs, music conferences, record labels, clubs & venues, and individual musicians and groups. Heather’s longtime clients include the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals and the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards and Festival, as well as Harbourfront Centre's music programs and summer festivals, the Six String Nation Guitar, and numerous others (a full list is on her web site at www.hkcmarketing.com).
Heather recently started teaching music marketing at the Independent Music Program at Seneca @ York U, she was on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Blues Society for 7 years, has been a speaker and panelist at the OCFF conference and the Canada Council's "On the Road" program, was the Executive Director of Music Alliance Projects, has been a jury member for the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards, and continues to be a juror for FACTOR.
