Bio

Since High Like Five’s launch in 2005, they have gathered a following from San Francisco to Los Angeles performing at clubs and opening for national acts such as; The Plain White T’s (Hollywood Records 2006), Die Trying (Island Records 2003), Tyrone Wells (Universal Records 2007), Pepper (Atlantic Records 2006), and Blackalicious (Epitaph Records 2005). Based in San Francisco, the band has received positive attention throughout California.

The members of the Band are Hector Zaragoza on lead vocals and guitar, Anastacio Rodriguez on lead guitar, Mark Palomar on Bass, and Kyle Geary on drums. The band combines high energy rock with inescapable hooks to create their own sound that has them winning over audiences across California. In January 2009 the band released their first EP through iTunes and various forms of distribution, entitled The “No Dice - EP”. The EP, produced by Tomas Costanza, speaks of good times and real life issues that appeal to a wide audience.

The band released their debut full-length, “The Melody That Makes A Difference” in October 2009 through Hyper Raje Records. Produced by Chris “HypE” Mayrena, the album is set to take High Like Five to a whole new level in their career. “This Record has some positive, upbeat messages embedded in a more mature pop-rock platform...we have definitely progressed as artists.” says Zaragoza. “2009, 2010 is the time for the world to see what we are all about...I think people will dig it, but more importantly understand it.”
