Bio

HoBo Hibbins is a singer songwriter based in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney. Prior to picking up the 6 string, he was a drummer in a past life, having toured extensively with well known Sydney band Guns of Fire. Since then, he has been lead vocalist with Bendigo band Allergic Reaction, before re-inventing himself as HoBo Hibbins in 2005. However he has also been spotted at times back behind the kit, drumming for fellow singer songwriter Steve Bevis, formerly of The Bright Side.

HoBo has recently recorded a six track EP called ‘Wanderlust’, and is also in the process of completing a Music Business course at the Contemporary Music Centre in Sydney. HoBo performs regularly at the Blue Tongue Lizard Café in Glenbrook, and this year has also performed at the World Music Fest in Parramatta, Kangaroo Valley Music Festival, and Triselies singer songwriter challenge in Katoomba.

HoBo has toured far and wide on the skins, and now is beginning his love of songwritingbehind the skins, emegwriter you may think. Where do they come from, and where do they go. Let me tell you. In this case, it's the Blue Mountains , home to bohemians, poets, philosophers, and drummers. A self confessed romantic, HoBo Hibbins will bring warmth and a sheer likeableness to your ears, with melody, gentleness and an easy sway.

HoBo's music is a refreshing blend of acoustic melodies that simply make you feel good. And having traveled around the world with guitar under arm, writing and performing his own material , a certain journeymans ease is to be heard.

HoBo's latest debut swag is the perfect companion for your musical travels! 6 tracks of acoustic verandah tunes for you to relax and dream to... This is music for lovers, dreamers, wine aficionados, and members of the PM's surf team - yes, the relaxed, devil may care, "who cares where the top is?, I'm happy here with my feet in the water" brigade. That's not to say it doesn't have energy, it's just the energy of the happy and wise... So, get wise, get happy, get yourself a listen to 'Wanderlust' whether live or on disc, and get laid....back, to the sounds and charm, of HoBo Hibbins
