Bio

One of the Underrated Innovators of Hip Hop Hogg Corps, started their musical journey at a early age. J.R. Hinson and DaZo related by blood grew up in a small game infested community in northern California named Vallejo. The two came up in a low income family so they were forced to grow up fast. J.R. began playing with a toy keyboard that his parents had bought for him at Goodwill. Instantly J.R. fell in love with music and began singing harmonies to the tunes that he would create. A neighborhood friend sister was going out with a Local rapper signed to a major, and J.R. saw this as opportunity to get into the industry. J.R. formed a group with his brother DaZo and another friend, and began to record their first demo in the garage with two radios put together, a microphone and Too Short instrumentals. They submitted their demo tape to the Local Rap Star but never heard back from him. Disappointed and in need for money, J.R. and Dazo began to turn to the streets to get money fast and began to deal with drugs that the O.G.’s of the neighborhood would supply them with. Money was good but the lifestyle started to get hectic and two were forced into a situation where the only option was to leave town and start fresh. They left the Eastside of Vallejo to lay low in a Central Valley City called Stockton, Ca. They began to refocus on the music and with no mentorship or guidance they put together their first studio which consisted of a casio keyboard a roland drum machine and a computer with the program cool edit pro. Making several songs, the two put together a mix-tape before they were called mix-tapes and began to pass them out though out Stockton and thats where they met a friend who took interest in their music and said “I know a few gangsta’s that could rap you should come and hangout with us.” They two took up the offer and started to hang out on 4500 block, Kentfield Ave (KillingFields) and was introduced to real gangsterism. The two fit in well and put in enough work that they soon were “jumped in” the Original Crip Gang, and spent most their days on the block and nights in there studio. Things started to get real crazy in the town, and one of the homie’s Psycho (R.I.P) was killed by the enemy fire, and in the funeral is where it struck them if they continued on this path it would be one of them in the casket. The two took a road trip to Las Vegas just to get away from the drama and ended up staying there, Living the dream or other words the “Vegas Life” of Nightlife, Gambling, Shopping being surrounded by some of the best Entertainment in the world they have never turned back to their old ways...Over the years in Las Vegas the duo recorded their first album under the original name of Hogg Corporation which came from the essence of being a Hogg about your business, but soon after shorten the name to Hogg Corps. and recorded 2 more LP’s and 4 mix-tapes that have sold over 30,000 digitally and independently Collectively. Having their video “First Place Winner” featured regionally and nationally, started stirring up controversy with multi-platinum artist Lil Wayne..Hogg Corps has made their imprint on the industry, known by 90% of the industry from Rappers like 50 cent, to Record Label gurus like Tom Whalley, to world famous Dj’s like Kid Capri for their outstanding hustle, amazing work ethnics, unorthodox style, and just pure perseverance. It just doesn’t end there, putting in hours in the studio to come with some of the most Energetic, Original great feeling music, that has the potential to cross genres across the world, They also are known for giving a memorable performance every time they set foot on a stage, and when Hogg Corps is not in the spotlight its back to the edit room to edit their own online TV show HCTV and Music Videos. They always have their hands in something, innovating, creating, and looking for the next big thing to give them a edge over their competitors....With all that being said, even your hardest critics cant deny the Hogg Corps is future of music..
