Jeremy Geltman has already accomplished what many artists struggle with ...Jeremy can write songs... and he's an engaging guy who's not afraid to take chances... I don't have a crystal ball, but I know I want to keep track of what's happening in his career. - Madison, Madison in the Morning, KPRI 102.1 FM

"Jennifer Ball, Hometown CDs, San Diego Reader"

Branded with the kind of melodic restlessness in the same vein as John Mayer…“Standing at the Edge” is a strong opener, with Geltman’s high, emotional voice at the foreground...It’s a solid hit...the guitar solos are always creative, though the arrangements themselves are enough to hook some interest.

Holding Air Hostage, a band out of San Diego, delivers a compelling brand of rock that rides the range between Ben Harper and Muse.

Their versatility feels boundless. The band’s first single, “Blackened Brew,” offers a clever, breezy hook that will clearly appeal to the masses, but deeper cuts, like the song “I’m Over It,” feel like a hurricane of angst and heartbreak. - James Spring, Producer, NPR

Electric Insomniac (Dec. 2009)

Holding Air Hostage is a four-part rock band formed by singers/songwriters Jeremy Geltman and Tony Cafiso in early 2008. Lee Frazee, co-founder of Your Speaker Box, found the acoustic duo on Myspace and began working together to book shows around San Diego.

Bassist Jeff Ludwig joined them soon after when they met at a gig at writer James Spring’s home. The addition of Jeff’s bass filled out their sound, and along with drummer Dusty Norberg, they forged the acoustic rock duo into the face-melting awesomeness that is Holding Air Hostage.
