HOLDING BACK ENTIRELY is that rare New York City band that comes along once in a lifetime.

Fully committed, completely independent and united in a quest for excellence, HOLDING BACK ENTIRELY’s shows have fast become a sought after event in the nightlife landscape of New York, expanding into other major cities on the east coast. HBE has played all over the Big Apple, tearing it up in clubs like The Mercury Lounge, Southpaw, The Luna Lounge, The Knitting Factory, Arlene’s Gorcery and the now defunct Lower east Side mainstay Sin-e, double-heading with acts such as Wheatus & The Break Mission.

Fusing Rock with catchy Pop stylings, the group is led by Nikolaus Schuhbeck on guitar and vocals. The line-up completes with Todd Schwartz on guitar and backing vocals, Yuki Ishiba on keys and Andrea Monorchio on bass.

All professional musicians with an obvious crush on great Rock, HOLDING BACK ENTIRELY are currently in the writing process for their sophomore effort, following the release of the band's self-titled debut, Holding Back Entirely.

True to their mantra of “…remember when there were no rules?”, the band continues to craft infectious songs about love and loss, social injustice and personal demons, adamantly ignorant of current trends and thus unique in sound and vibe.
