Holiday the Hustla

Emerging from the soulful city of Memphis, TN, the brilliant Holiday the Hustla aka Penny Holiday has become a force in the music industry and highly marketable brand among the cannabis community. Born and raised in the legendary town of Orange Mound, Holiday credits his musical influence to Orange Mound legends DJ Squeaky & 8Ball and MJG. Nicknamed "Holiday" by a childhood friend, the alias of "Penny" was taken on to pay homage to his city. Holiday proclaims, "I remember watching Penny Hardaway put on for the city and feeling proud. My aim is to relive the feeling through my music." More than a mere M.C., Holiday the Hustla created a lane of his own that the majority initially shunned upon. Holiday displayed his love for cannabis through his music long before legalization was scarcely fathomed. When rap marketing was primarily focused on street and nightclub promotions, an unsigned yet clairvoyant Penny Holiday decided to share his sinsemilla-scented indie music with an overlooked demo of not only suburban and collegiate youth, but the entire cannabis community. He began to release a series of stoner themed mixtapes in which he referred to as "Mixtape Movies". These tapes were all named after movie titles with a stoner twist. "The Color Purple" was the first of his mixtape movie series featuring "Flight Club", a music group of artist and producers selected by Holiday. His fan base grew tremendously, and he was well on his way to stardom. Holiday the Hustla's stock is on the rise. He is now working with Grammy award winning producers Carlos Broady and Zaytoven. The two collaborated on his most recent mixtape movie "The Color Purple 3" hosted by the legendary DJ Burn One. Holiday recently joined AlpinStash, state of the art cultivators based in Colorado, to create his custom line of organic purple strains "Purps by Penny".  Soon, Holiday the Hustla will be a household name, and "Roll Model" for a new generation of free-spirited young stoners, fans, and up-and-coming MC's across the globe.
