Holis has evolved over the past three years into what is now an acoustic pop/rock driven band. Since the spring of 2002, singer Raymond Zeiters and guitarist Frank Mistretta have continued to write and perform their original ideas with the purpose of sharing their sound with their fans and friends. After a couple of years of letdowns with previous members, the two finally found their musical niche with keyboardist Christian McGinty. Insert drummer Kenny Reiner to round out their sound, which has been described as a transfusion of influences ranging from Pink Floyd to Counting Crows. The group presents a sound reminiscent to the thoughtful, stark melodies of U2 and Coldplay. Don’t be fooled though, they are quick to remind you of their edgier writing ability comparable to bands like Staind and Live. Holis is currently working on their debut self-financed album with producer Alfred Pellegrini, who often joins the group onstage to fill in some guitar parts. While in the studio, Holis is promoting their albums 2006 release with select regional performances.
