Spawned out of Indianapolis, HOLISTIC was formed as an immediate formidable force in hip-hop music. With sonic, in your face, head-knocking production combined with the verbal prowess of five of the finest lyricists, HOLISTIC is hip-hop and beyond. Formed in 1999, the members include Izzaldin Khalil AlGhani (Iz Inferno), Rabia Khalil AlGhani (Rad Nice), Moe Sharooz (Iron Sheik), Cory Whitley (Corey Stellar), and Mike Russell (Smokin’ Joe). Holistic’s dominant hip-hop knowledge was certified when Izzaldin graduated from Indiana University in 2002 with the world’s first B.A. in Hip-Hop music. Their group has performed hundreds of shows throughout the Midwest and New York City with such artists as Wyclef Jean, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jurassic 5, Jeru The Damaja, and Fabolous. In 2004 three members from Holistic, Iz Inferno, Rad Nice, and Iron Sheik, moved from Indianapolis, Indiana to New York City. Upon moving to New York, HOLISTIC immediately immersed amongst the social elite and nightclub scene in New York City. They booked shows at every hot club of the moment, including Snitch, Webster Hall, Piano’s, CBGB’s, Lotus, and many more. Their new album ‘TECHNICOLOR’ released in May 2009 is already creating a buzz by those in the know. Iz Inferno and Iron Sheik are the minds behind the music production, which provides the foundation for the HOLISTIC sound, an eclectic mix of carefully chosen samples ranging from jazz to French cinema to classic rock. While their production sets the backbone, their groundbreaking lyricism and magnetic performances makes them a force to be reckoned with. The name HOLISTIC is not merely a cliché; it inherently has a deeper meaning. Keeping with the Holistic approach, all Holistic’s music videos have been filmed, directed, and edited by Rabia Khalil AlGhani aka Rad Nice and Moe Sharooz aka Iron Sheik.
