Gwala

Seab Farris better known as Gwala was born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. A major reason why he is who he is in many ways is his neighborhood. The Hill District, infamous for breeding arrogant hustlers. "What Harlem is to New York,  is what The Hill district is to Pittsburgh" he says. Even as a child GWALA was always musically inclined. His mother would have him perform the Jackson 5 songs for her friends at the age of four and he would sing it like the song belonged to him. In elementary school Gwala took up playing the viola which is very similar to the violin. This later would influence him to begin producing music. High school years he remembers frequently listening to rap artists Dip-Set,50 cent, and even Gucci Mane which all have enhanced his many song writing and recording styles in one way or the other. Getting popular in his city was not hard at all being that it's so small and he was connected to all the local talent mostly through street ties. Getting played in the Pittsburgh night clubs and obtaining a buzz there was still not enough to catapult him into the game in his eyes. He decided to move to Miami in 2013 to continue his "road to riches". Upon arrival he decided to invest his own money in his craft with professional videography and the best equipped studios. In only a years time he was able to successfully network and rub elbows with some of the most relevant artists in his genre who he will be collaborating with in the near future! Gwala embodies all the major components of a successful recording artist and entertainer.
