Bio
We are Holler, started in 12/2009 a duo of ladies on autoharp, guitar and double bass who sing country, appalachian traditionals, folk, gospel and original songs.
We recently came back from touring the south east, including a spot on WDVX The Blue Plate Special in Knoxville, TN, and a performance at The Covered Bridge Festival in eastern Kentucky.
In NYC, we've played The Knitting Factory with the Deedle Deedle Dees, Pete's Candy Store, Banjo Jim's, North East Kingdom, Sycamore, Freddy's Bar and Backroom and Spike Hill. We have also performed at local elementary schools and most recently at Bennington College, VT.
We are often accompanied by special guests, including Jason Benjamin of the Red Hook Ramblers on harmonic and guitar, singer-songwriters Caitlin Eddins and Annie Crane and claw-hammer banjo player, David Boyle.
Holler is into traditional music and sounds of the South, but writing some songs mixing with the Northern New York Country and Brooklyn!
