Bio

In June 2009 I completed my BA (hons) Music Degree at The Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts, where I have spent the last three years studying music performance, creation, production and business. As of the beginning of September I will be based in London and I am therefore looking for employment and internships within the music industry. I want to gain further experience with in the industry and put my skills and knowledge into practice as I feel I have a lot to offer.

EXPERIENCE

Performing:
I have had a lot of experience in playing drums, gigging, touring, playing showcases recording and writing with various different bands of different styles, some of which include Stem Directions
(pop/funk/indie), Old physiatrist club (pop/indie/alternative), Ziroki (Indie/funk), Kolyda (Heavy rock/grunge), Queen Tantrum (pop/electronica/rock), L.U.V (pop/elctro/indie), David bowie tribute band and lastly Kalorie (pop/punk) who appeared in channel 4’s T4 mobile act unsigned in 2007- a unique TV show where bands battle it out to win a record deal with universal. I also have experience in live and studio session drumming, deping and playing in function bands.

Songwriting:
I am also a singer and songwriter. I have my own solo project which falls under the musical genres of pop/folk and ambient. In 2006 I won The Groove Search songwriting competition where I recorded my prize-winning song Too Happy with the London Phillharmonia orchestra at Abby Road recording studios. I also collaborate with different songwriters and producers for different projects writing music for publishing such as film, TV and advertising

Teaching:
I have been teaching drums privately for the last 5 years, all ages all levels. I also worked as a student ambassador at The Liverpool institute For Performing Arts teaching kids aged between 5-18 and also children with learning, physical and mental disabilities. I have worked on summer schools and led and assisted musical workshops covering musical performance, songwriting and improvisation and group drum and percussion lessons. Other work for my university includes audition panel judge, public speaking at conferences and building tours.
