Bio
Holly Holy is a female-fronted rock and roll band from Denver, CO. Holly herself is classically trained from the age of seven on the piano. She sings like a beautiful banshee. The band members all have massive amounts of stage time and decades of combined experience.
Holly writes the songs. There is an emphasis upon stories and characters. She has spent her life writing and playing music. Live she plays an '81 Gibson Flying V through a Marshall amp that sounds like a jumping graveyard.
Pat holds down the low end and knows these songs like the back of his hand. He's brought the thunder big, loud, and fast for over ten years in Belfast Carbomb and then The Palsies, and he enjoys his work.
Dray is an all-around force in the Denver music scene. Also to be see slaying guitar with the seminal band Tard and schooling the drums with alt-country act The Denver City Saltlicks, Dray is muti-skilled. He adds presence and character to the sound of Holly Holy.
Brian's been kicking it old-school in The Hacks ever since Colfax Avenue was first paved. He's also been counting off for Holly Holy since early 2009. He brings a steadiness and force to Holly Holy that is defining to the sound.
To see this band is to love them. They are cool. They are classic. They are fun. They live their rock-n-roll and play it to its death.
