A multi-instrumentalist, with a jazz and soul background, the 20 year-old is soulful beyond her years. Incorporating traditional jazz styles into a youthful pop, her British accent is just right for the U.S. charts and abroad. Rubenstein's real gift is her ability to pen emotional songs, which she really brings to life with the range with her soothing, yet gritty voice. True artistry.- Don't be surprised to hear her soon with the likes of U.K. heavyweights Ronson and Winehouse, or American legends such as Roy Ayers or Herbie Hancock"...'World Spectator review'

Lyrics

Rose Tinted Spectacles

Written By: Holly Rubenstein

Sorry can only be said so many times,
You can only commit so many crimes,
There's only so many skeletons that can fall out your closet,
But you're the one who had the key to stop them falling at me and you didn't use it.

Sorry can only be said so many times,
Only so many heartbreaks I can rhyme,
But secrets are snakes that will seethe and spit venom,
And when they are out you can never forget them,
Still I tried, I tried...

But I see through you now,
I turned the other cheek before,
I've seen your flaws, but I smiled and I ignored,
Because my rose-tinted spectacles stopped me from seeing you,
My eyes wouldn't show me the truth,
My heart didn't know what to do.

Sorry can only be said so many times,
Like a cat who's using more than their nine lives,
There's only so many mysteries that i'm looking to solve,
And even then I wished there weren't, cos they all led to hurt when I found the answers.

Sorry can only be said so many times,
My head can't always be in these two minds,
You never were straight so I never was able to get to the truth, lay your cards on the table,
Still I tried, I tried.

But I see through you now,
I turned the other cheek before,
I've seen your flaws, but I smiled and I ignored,
Because my rose-tinted spectacles stopped me from seeing you,
My eyes wouldn't show me the truth,
My heart didn't know what to do.

And so you say I'm sorry, I'm sorry, forgive me, i'll never hurt you like that again,
So my rose-tinted spectacles led me back to you, over and over again,
And each time I smiled, then each time I cried cos each time I got closer I found out you lied,
And still I tried, still I tried...

But I see through you now,
I turned the other cheek before,
I've seen your flaws, but I smiled and I ignored,
Because my rose-tinted spectacles stopped me from seeing you,
My eyes wouldn't show me the truth,
My heart didn't know what to do.
Because my rose-tinted spectacles stopped me from seeing you,
My eyes wouldn't show me the truth,
I couldn't see through you,
But now I do.

Save it

Written By: Holly Rubenstein

Easier said than done I know,
Even if you knew he had to go,
You look for the best in someone, know that you tried,
But deep in your heart you'll always know that he lied..

Stop staring at the phone,
Stop looking at the door,
Can't carry on with waiting,
You don't need him anymore,
Don't call, Don't message him,
Don't cry a minute longer,
You made it seven days and you're only getting stronger.
So..

Save it,
Save it for another day,
Brush those nasty tears away,
You've got nothing left to say so,
Save it,
He's not worth your time,
He'll pay for his crime when he starts missing you.

Seems like every second is breaking your heart,
But this is your life and it's time to start,
He wasn't behind you,
He was holding you down,
But life is for living and it's in your hands now.

Stop waiting for the doorbell or for the phone to ring,
If it does you shouldn't answer cos you need some time to think,
Stuck inside a bubble your life can pass you by,
It's hard to see the trouble so it's hard to say goodbye,
But try and ...

Save it,
Save it for another day,
Brush those nasty tears away,
You've got nothing left to say so,
Save it,
He's not worth your time,
He'll pay for his crime when he starts missing you.
And there's nothing he can do about,
No there's nothing he can do about,
No..
Cos you'll be over him by then,
You won't want to see his face again,
You'll be wondering why and when you ever cried down the phone to me.

Just try and..

Save it,
Save it for another day,
Brush those nasty tears away,
You've got nothing left to say so,
Save it,
He's not worth your time,
He'll pay for his crime when he starts missing you and there's nothing he can do about it.
