Holy Moly & The Crackers

Brought together by an eclectic taste in folk music and the kind of enthusiasm that can only be born in the slither of time between last orders and closing time, Holy Moly formed at Warwick University in December 2010. Growing out of kitchen and living room performances, they made a name for themselves playing local gigs, society events, and supporting artists at Taylor Johns in Coventry. In summer 2011 they played their first set of festivals and from there have gone from strength to strength. They perform up and down the country at venues, weddings, parties, and markets. The band is currently based in Newcastle and has recently been signed by Northern Lights Music. Currently they are working on their first album – a collection of original songs and tunes – all with similar themes of dislocation and home accompanied by a healthy amount of drink, broken heads and broken hearts scattered along the highway. You will be sure to come across an unfortunate range of characters ... including a psychopathic cuckold armed with a letter knife and a keen interest in jazz and whores!
