"Little relief from dark thoughts as holy voodoo launches debut album"

Love had the vocal nourishings of Bob Dylan, and embodied well the rock and roll poet persona. He attacked each song with a healthy punk ethic but sustained himself with lychee juice between songs.
During Kerosens he transcended the confines of the venue and unleashed a gutteral wail on the seated audience.
Lily's backing vocals sweetened the songs, and warmed his rough edges with her rich and understated involvement.
Last song, Pussywhip me, was the perfect finale. After tales of living below the poverty line and strange people in caravan parks, it was a welcome dose of good, fun song writing to make you smile. - The Northern Star (Lismore) July 8, 2010
