Since May of 2006 The HomeGrown Band has exploded on the island of Bermuda, and several U.S. locations with lead singer McCannon Cassidy, and taken the music scene by storm. Within' the groups first three months they had become the backing band for one of Billboard's top reggae artists, Collie Buddz (Sony) and in the last two years have performed at venues such as the House of Blues in Hollywood, as well as everything from stadiums and colleges, to the hottest nightclubs in Bermuda and abroad.
They have have shared the Bill with Reggae, R&B and Pop Superstars RIHANNA, SHAGGY, ALICIA KEYS, BEYONCE, INDIA ARIE, ANTHONY HAMILTON, MORGAN HERITAGE, JAH CURE, TAURAS RILEY, ANTHONY B, GENTLEMAN, BARRINGTON LEVY, BYRON LEE, CHUCK FENDER, GINUWINE, QUEEN IFRICA, AND MORE...
The band has been featured on the world famous caribbean TV channel TEMPO and LookTV, as well as in Show Off and RG Magazines; the Boston Globe, the Royal Gazette, and Bermuda Sun; with in rotation on Bermuda’s top three radio stations.
