Bio
Eighty-year-old Homer Pass, originally from Lenoir City, TN, is a great singer who plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and bass. He likes many kinds of music playing mostly blues, country, western swing, and bluegrass. A well-known music teacher, Pass has taught hundreds to play over the last sixty years. Pass is a member of the Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame.
Mike Butler, a mandolinist for 35 years, counts mandolin legend James “Yank” Rachell as his major musical influence. Mike’s currently recording a tribute to Yank featuring John Sebastian and David Grisman, Andra Faye, Blues Revue editor Rich Delgrosso, and Grammy winner Tim O’Brien (www.yankrachell.com).
