Good ol rock and roll, with a touch of southern comfort
Four young guys with old souls, their roots spread from the Guelph/Rockwood area. Since the beginning, the band has thrilled and continues to captivate audiences across Southern Ontario and Alberta with their tremendous energy and proven ability to entertain audiences of all ages.
Melding the essence of classic rock and new sounds in the styles of The Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles, Hometown Roots combines the very best of folk, rock, and alternative, while entertaining and captivating audiences with their sincerity and power.
In May of 2012 the boys recorded the first official EP release with legendary producer Nick Blagona, Nick has worked with everyone from The Police to The Tea Party, to Deep Purple to The Sheepdogs.
Andy – of the Boston Manor in Burlington, Ontario had this to say in an e-mail to the band after opening for Coney Hatch: “Let me tell you that was one of the most talented group of musicians I have seen in a while - singer has amazing stage presence and his voice - don't touch it - it's different - it's passionate - they don't sound like every other cloned crap band being knocked off today.”
