Honey J

  Honey J, 12-year-old performing artist. She currently released her mixtape Pretty Girl Committee. That includes her hit singles “Just Snap”and “Pretty Girl Committee”. She believes that our youth while enjoying music needs to have positive peer reinforcement . This is one of her life goals that she is strongly working towards.  She currently has started an anti-bullying campaign on her YouTube channel Honey J Music. This summer has been exciting for Honey J, with performing at several large events locally in Iowa and Illinois as well as in Atlanta. Honey J is officially an upcoming Hip hop artist for our new generation of youth.

   Honey J was born and raised in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Always having a passion for music. Along with her father Jarod Anderson guidance she is pursuing her dream. At a young age her and her father would work on music as just a fun hobby then once she matured they started focusing in on a goal to provide the younger crowd with more positive direction of music. Her and her father noticed a void for children friendly music so they came up with Honey J music. With their main goal being to, create more positive direction music for the younger generation to listen to.

   Along with success in music, she is also successful in school.  Receiving awards through out the year along with scoring above average on all State and National testing. She has also been involved in a program for children that excel in school for three years now.

  In her spare time she enjoys family fun. Going to her Grandpa and Grandma’s race track to watch her younger brother race. Hanging out with her friends. Also loves drawing and DIY projects.
