HoneyBunny, the cutest and coolest new duo in town, will play its second live set ever at La Botanica this weekend. (Its first was a few weeks back in ATX.) As the adorable name might give away, the members of HoneyBunny — Bridgette Norris-Sanchez and Bobby Rivas (of FEA, Islands & Tigers) — are romantic as well as musical partners. And, at least from the little tastes we’ve gotten so far (a few live clips and a few covers posted to Soundcloud), the chemistry between the two lends an easy-going, intimate warmth to their still-evolving indie pop-meets-R&B sound.
High-energy indie dance-rock crew Rivers Want and the ever-entertaining pop heartthrob Wayne Holtz, with whom the busy Rivas also plays, round out the bill — the last of the year at La Botanica. - San Antonio Current
