Bio
Hoofla formed in October of 2005. When Heywood, a former Minneapolis jam band parted ways in the fall of 2005, former members RJ, Joe, and Bill started a new group with Ben Salley which has become Hoofla. Both Bill & Ben attend McNally Smith School of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota. Both RJ & Joe attend the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Hoofla has been busy recording a 4 track EP in the Fall of 2005.
The band tries to create something unique and eclectic every time they play. They promote a sense of community between the guys in the band and the audience. Main influences that seem to stand out include Bela Fleck, Jimi Herring, Phish, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more artists from diverse genres.
