"Professional execution, driving guitars and infectious melodies"

“Hooked4life has both, big harmonies and catchy melodies, with a touch of dream rock and brit pop that creates a moody and emotional spell with undeniable pop and indie intensity. Their debut album is filled with radio friendly and melodic anthemic rock, which is unapologetic, and in your face. This album’s sound is raw enough to appeal to truly devout indie rock fans, yet its subtle pop essence opens the door to mainstream ears as well." - Jason Olcott, Chunk Magazine, Seattle, WA.)

"Unapologetic and ready to dominate"

“Pop rock with edge and emotion…the songwriting is simply there." - Zakk United, 94.5 The Buzz, Houston, TX.)

Bio

Professional execution, driving guitars and infectious melodies…

Finally, a rock band for the masses, Houston based hooked4life is a consortium of emotions. From angst to hope, love to despair, their songs reveal a sea of emotions to which fans relate. With their album debut selling at record numbers, and their first single, “Going, Going, Gone which has cracked the rotation on 94.5 The Buzz, TX., their place in rock and roll is secure.

Glimpses of youthful cynicism are identified with many of the album tracks. Song's like “Going, Going, Gone and “Standout Memories tell of love lost and desperation, while tracks like “More than Enough and the piano melody, “ By Candlelight are both melodic and driving, illustrating a sense of contentment and hopeful expectation.

The dreamy sounds of “Another Place and “Starlight give the listener a sense of time and space throughout the compelling arrangements, while the epic sounds of “ Glide and “Unite fortify anthem rock at it’s finest.

hooked4life was formed in 2004 in Houston, Texas. Kevin Langford and Jon Bittick began their careers with bands around southeast Texas, but came together as the two-man acoustic duo, Bad Boyfriend, in early 2004. With Kevin on vocals, guitar and piano and Jon on guitar and vocals, they solidified their band with the additions of Jorge Badillo on bass, and Greg Morrison on drums and percussions. hooked4life was forged.

Their much awaited debut album will be released in April of this year. hooked4life kicks off their first US tour this summer.

Kevin Langford began his journey into music with singing in church and playing piano at age 11. By the age of 17, Langford had picked up the guitar and a whole world of possibilities opened up for a musical collage of keyboard and guitar based melodies. Langford relocated to NYC and was involved in the local scene there until 2003. He then moved back to Houston where he teamed up with guitarist Jon Bittick to form hooked4life.

Guitarist Jon Bittick began playing guitar in college and was playing out at local bars within a couple of years. Throughout his years of higher education, his love for music never faltered. After graduation, he relocated to Seattle for work, but knew he would never give up his first love, music. Eventually, like Kevin, Jon made his way back to Texas where he began collaborating with ex-band mate, Langford, creating hooked4life.

Bassist Jorge Badillo began his journey into music with members of his family playing at age 17. Through the years he has had the opportunity to tour with a variety of bands around the world. After returning home to Houston, TX in the summer of 2004 he met and became a member of hooked4life.

Drummer Greg Morrison began his “study of drums early on at the age of 11, but his first drum kit would not come until after graduation from high school in 1995. After some years of polishing up the chops and jamming with friends he joined up with a band in 2000 and began touring extensively. Returning home a couple of years later he planted some roots around the local Houston scene, and in meeting Kevin and Jon in the process he would find himself drummer in hooked4life.

With many label interests, hooked4life is set to forge their way into 2005. Unapologetic and ready to tour, their sounds and passion will push them to the next level and across airwaves all over the globe.
