Growing up listening to the music of the 60's and 70's, Hooker Thompson has been influenced by many musicians including Neil Young, The Beatles , the Rolling Stones and many other rock and roll ledgends. Feeding off that great music he began playing in cover bands as early as high school, and soon found that writing songs was more challenging and satisfying. So he hit the studio to cut his first 12 song demo entitled Good Man.
Hooker"T" has performed for the U.S troops arriving back from Iraq at many venues including Otis Air force base, and has played clubs throughout southern New England for a wide range of audiences. His songs are new and refreshing, always something different yet familiar. A splash of Country and Blues, some alternative acoustic guitar , interesting lyrics and catchy rhythms makes Hooker Thompson's music worth listening to.
