Bio
Our band resides in Jackson, TN. Dave was an Air Force brat and lived all over. I was born in Pittsburgh, PA and Raised in Orlando, FL and lived all over. LOL
Dave played guitar since he was a teenager and started writing songs when he was a child.
I started writing songs when I was 7 years old. I started playing instruments at about that age. I played keyboard, acoustic guitar. I was singing in Choirs at church since I could remember and choruses in school as well. I sang in school all the way through High school. I started playing Clarinet @ 11 years old.
In youth choirs I played a few percussion instruments.
I continued singing in choirs through my adult life.
And now we are making music and recording it with Wes Henley at Highland House Productions. We met Wes Nov 2002 and started recording with him April 2003. We love the Highland House recording experience. http://www.highlandhouseonline.com We were blessed as well to have musicians Joe McKinney and Jimmie Morris SR. It sounds like it does because of those professionals. :) We are working on our second project with Wes now. And it looks to be better than the first which is very exciting for us!!!!
I should also mention that 2 of The Grove members lent their fabulous talents to this also. Jonathan Singleton and Andy Dixon were also session musicians on this cd! Other session musicians and friends were Randy White and Christopher Cooper. Sorry guys that I did not mention y'all sooner! We could not have done this without y'all!
The influences are many in our music. Maybe that is why no one can pin us
down to one sound. Neither myself nor my partner in music Dave listened to
one particlular style or person. We have anyone from Jimi Hendrix to Carol
King, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Carly Simon, Stevie Nicks, etc.
This was our first project and hoped we did them justice.
We plan to do more. Hope you will stick with us for the journey.
