Atlantic Recording Artist Hope Shorter ranks in the Top 5 Acoustic Myspace Artists in the world with nearly 10,000,000 song plays. The L.A. based artist has developed a colt-like following online and is embarking on her first tour, since touring with Seal, as she preps her Major Label debut album.

A Clear Voice, a pure new sound, a petite musical messiah... No other name could be more fitting for the beautiful lady who has become something of a legend for music lovers everywhere. Whether it"s her gentle melodies that merge rock and soul, or sultry vocals over her acoustic guitar, her incomparable soothing voice says it all.

Born a twin and native of Poughkeepsie, New York her parents encouraged her to sing and study an instrument. She started playing the piano by ear at the age of only three and around five she picked up the guitar. Soon Hope started writing Songs. "Our Love's For Real" was the title of her first composition written on the piano. As she grew older Hope's love for music bloomed by her side.

After High school she was given a music scholarship to Atlantic Union College where she decided that music was something she'd prefer to study creatively rather than academically. Hope transplanted to California in 2001 and started singing at small venues. After a few months she decided to take her guitar and a notebook of her new compositions to the street, landing on Hollywood Boulevard! After two years of street singing Hope's song "The Rain Don't Last" was being played on LA's top R&B station "100.3 The Beat" By DJ PJ Butta and the word was out.

Hope was approached by nearly every major record label in the U.S. and in June of 2005, she signed with Atlantic Records. Hope has written and recorded with many of the industry's most acclaimed writers and producers including Will.i.am from The Black Eyed Peas, Trevor Horn, Mikal Blue, Jason Reeves, Cara Diaguardi, Berry Mann, and Cynthia Billy to name a few.

Some of her most proud of accomplishments include touring internationally with the music icon Seal and opening for Grammy Nominee James Blunt. Hope's song The Rain Don't Last was chosen for the Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Campaign, and she's had songs placed in several Major Motion Pictures including "P.S.I Love You", Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married", and "Step Up 2 the Streets"! Hope is currently recording her self-titled major label debut album with Atlantic Records, and touring colleges, clubs and venues worldwide.
