"JJJ unearthed"

I can hear the influence of Bluebottle Kiss certainly, lots of textures here that make for an adventure worth taking with this band. If you like despair on the intense side then these guys deliver it with zeal. 4/5 stars - Caz Tran

"live show"

Like affection drawn from a granite slab, comes the applause from the empty house, as next modern Mogwai’ers Hope Springs clamber into view. And these guys are truly something else.
Wonderfully understanding the malleability of post-rock, they flex an aesthetic so realised that it boggles the mind they’ve not already the recognition they deserve. Caterwauling Dredg-inspired canyons spin wildly into scribbly prisms of Mono-esque noise, while shades of Oceansize and Elbow colour the minimalistic DIY vocal-parts which lie buried and strained below the grander picture of the band’s each mini-epic. Haemorrhaging a pathos so often out of reach to a lot of post first-tier post-rockers, the band closes on the flinging catharsis of the refrain “I told you to stay away from her...” - time off

"Hope Springs"

Bio

The haunting blend of complex and visceral guitar progressions underpinned with driving rhythms and shrouded in evocative vocal interludes convey a post-rock sensibility with deep meaning and heartfelt enthusiasm—this is the Hope Springs soundscape.
The best thing about bands is it brings people together for all the right reasons and the musical pedigree behind Hope Springs is no exception. The recent line-up change has these talented multi-instrumentalists forge a new chapter in the Hope Springs story and it’s a best seller.
Original members Tim Lee on guitar and vocals and ex-drummer Jodan Longfield now slinging the bass are joined
by Joshua Lee on skins to create the Sunshine Coast three-piece outfit. Tim and Jodan have a long history within the local vibrant music scene and the Lee brothers music journey goes back to their childhood days making the Hope Springs transformation a seamless episode and a testament to the combined years of musical experience. This has enabled the band to explore a complete new sound, write a bunch of new songs and continue delivering crafted live performances.
The upcoming year will see Hope Springs taking their show to southern states on a short tour and capturing their edgy and unique perspective in the recording studio.
