Still working on that hot first release.

Horse Guards Parade started playing in January 2009. March saw the band self release their first E.P., which was enthusiastically received and played on BBC 6 MUSIC, BBC RADIO 2 and given a big thumbs up by STEVE LAMACQ. The band play gigs in major cities, including London, Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Hull and Manchester. They also play a number of live sessions for radio.

The summer saw performances at both THE BIG CHILL FESTIVAL and THE READING/LEEDS FESTIVAL.

In the autumn Horse Guards Parade we're featured on the SIMON MAYO show on BBC RADIO 5Live, where they played a live acoustic song and were interviewed. They also supported JARVIS COCKER and HOWE GELB of GIANT SAND around this time.

In 2010 the band recorded an album (see below). Live shows included support to PAVEMENT and a slot at ALL TOMORROWS PARTIES.

The band then recorded a song for a compilation called All Night North, which was a tribute album for the 30th anniversary celebrations of Philip Larkin. The band wrote a song using the words from the Larkin poem Toads, which was played on BBC RADIO 2.

2011 has seen the album, Ten Songs, released by Morten Industries, distributed by Cargo, receiving great reviews. The band played at the FRIENDS OF MINE and HEADSTOCK festivals as well as gigs around the country and a tour with MARBLE VALLEY. They are also played a live session for MARK RILEY ON BBC RADIO 6.

2012 sees the band heading back into the studio to record more great music. email address for a promo copy of the album
