Feeling a bit camera shy

Bio

Dave Wah was a drifter. He was lost. He found himself in music and he found away to tell people what was going on in his head. After travelling to Central America to find his passion, he returned with a goal and a mission. He grew up with musicians. A small town full of talent with no one to hear it. The band came together with the thought that no matter what happened, they would make the most creative music they could.

How do you explain with words just how special something is? There are a million other bands clawing for the same goals and opportunities. Drunk barflies don't know the difference between good music and the same sloppy shit that mucks up the talent pool. The majority of people don't know talent, they can't appreciate a gift until it is opened up in front of them and shoved in their face. Unfortunately, I think many in the industry are completely oblivious to what good music is. Poetry has escaped modern mainstream music. Every word, every melody, ridiculously contrived. Phony. Every strained facial gesture and on stage gyration, utterly forced. Pathetic. You know how I know a song is shitty? I can guess what the "artist" is going to say next. They don't write what they feel, what burns in their chests, they write what they think will sound good, what they think you want to hear.

I write about life. And my life means nothing if my voice goes unheard. We are numb to the disappointments from an industry that overlooks people who take chances. It's an industry. A business. I am only concerned with art. But we need a benefactor. We've worked for years, creating a bomb, we need someone to pull the pin. Someone to push the button.

Band biographies are only interesting once you grow to love the music. All the public needs to know is that we are very dangerous kids with fragile minds who are held together by the rapture of music. We live this. And our lives are far more interesting than you could ever imagine. We are beautiful losers, we are broken on purpose, and we break our backs to break your heart.
