The HotDog Skeletons sound like “Wilco got beat up by the Ramones and were shit out in the Minute Men's Basement." What this means exactly is up for interpretation much like the HotDog Skeletons themselves. Even though they are four guys from the Heartland of America who share a love of live music, they come at it from varying backgrounds. Matt with his background in Austin Indie Rock is a no nonsense bass player and vocalist. Darren an Oklahoma boy steeped in Bluegrass and Punk adds a drive like a coal fired locamotive with his guitar work and vocals. His brother Chad keeps the band together with his country and jazz influenced drumming. Dan brings in a Blues and Rock swagger and together they are the HotDog Skeletons.
