Bio
Gregor McPhie (aka Hotknife) is a Glaswegian guitarist, music
producer, and 20-year veteran of the music industry.
He has owned and operated his own music studio - The HQ
Glasgow - since 2010 and has engineered and/or produced
hundreds of artists that have come through the HQ.
As a session/touring guitarist, he has performed with Scottish rave
act The Rhythmic State and bagpipe-rock bands Red Hot Chilli
Pipers and Bags of Rock.
Since meeting current collaborator Mister Tee in 2017, the pair have
had a prolific output, releasing 2 singles in 2018 and their first
full-length, self-titled album in September 2019.
Tinashe Masocha (aka Mister Tee) is a soul singer/songwriter,
drummer, and music producer.
His first forays into the music business were through online
platforms such as Bebo and MySpace, where he distributed his
early compositions.
Though Tee made a name for himself as a wedding singer and a
regular performer at open mics, a gifted recording session at The
HQ Glasgow brought him to Hotknife’s doorstep and the pair began
a prodigious collaboration, culminating in the release of their first
full-length, self-titled album in September 2019.
