Bio
Straight out of the cold and frigid Laramie, Wyoming comes the hard hitting and foot stompin’ dirty blues band Hot Mess. The trio, made from brothers, Claiton (guitar, cigar box guitar, and vox) and Mitchell Fyock (electric and upright bass) and Matt Ferguson (drums) began playing together in the late fall of 2009. Shortly after, they began playing everywhere, from bars and house parties to independent record stores. Their sound spawned from a variety of different musical styles, from renowned Delta Blues artists such as Son House and Mississippi Fred McDowell, to contemporary Rock Blues artists like Left Lane Cruiser, all the way to Stoner Rock artists like Clutch. Hot Mess’ sound is their own mixture of raw delta blues straight from the South, mixed with whiskey fueled rock and roll. Together, this combination provides for a new and dirty sound that is completely unique.
