On the trail of HOUNDS
Braintree electro-rock bad trio Hounds are back in action this weekend with
a gig at barhouse, Chelmsford on Saturday.
Olly, Chas and Chris have had a busy year, following up a UK tour with Does It Offend You, Yeah? with an appearance at The Prodigy’s Warrior Dance Festival at Milton Keynes which will have gained them a wider audience with
thousands of music fans in attendance.
Their combination of big riffs, crashing drums, thumping bass and lots of
attitude would have certainly gone down well with Prodigy fans.
Hounds have also been in the studio recording new tracks with their latest material being mixed and mastered by the team behind Swedish act
Refused. On top of that, Hounds have just heard that one of their tracks, Falling Apart, will be used in a forthcoming episode of CSI:NY.
As we’ve said before in go!, we think Hounds are a band set for great things so here’s your chance to see them locally.

Hailing from Braintree in Essex, England, HOUNDS combine big riffs with crashing drums, big bass lines and in your face vocals. With the addition of samples and synths the band manage to create an original blend of electro tinged rock that is delivered with a punk rock attitiude.
With so many different styles and genres that influence the band, HOUNDS have a very unique vibe and sound which one journalist described as: "If music was a fist, this is what it would feel like to be on the recieving end".
Their latest material has been mixed and mastered by Swedish legends Pelle Henricsson and Eskil Lovstrom, the guys who produced the act Refused.
