Bio

Our music has been described by one fan as "tantric sex put to music". We believe in playing with our all, so the listener is moved to the beats. Be it our hyper rock tune "Jumper” to our groove driven "Pretty Mantis", to the bone chilling warning warning "Kneel, Beg, Prey", we bring new perspectives to the table.

The band's influences are obvious and hidden at the same time. There are subtle hints of Metallica, The Police, Van Halen, Pearl Jam, Prince, Rush, Tool, Randy Rhoads, and Megadeth. Oddly enough, when we write music, each of us may have an inspired piece in our heads, but as the process goes on, it's becomes more and more only Hour 22.

Greg Cooper, sings and plays bass. He has been playing his funk derived rock bass grooves in Milwaukee for many years. He has played in such Milwaukee bands as Make No Mistake, Coir, Protocon, and Gangster. Gangster was a band that Greg formed with Bruce Bowen, they were developing notoriety being accepted to play in the WAMI awards showcase in 1995. That same year, Gangster was accepted as a backup band in the SXSW Showcase in Austin Tx.

Bruce Bowen, guitarist and backing vocals. He is the primary song writer for the band. He started in music at a young age going to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music at the age of 10. Bruce started out learning classical piano, but at the age of 12, he discovered guitarist gets the girls, and quickly jumped on the guitar band wagon.

John Dorsey, drums and backing vocals. John worked with Greg and started putting a band together, after a whirlwind search in Milwaukee, Greg contacted Bruce. Jamming together and feeling out each other’s skills, they knew they had something special to build upon.

The difference between Hour 22 and other bands is completely transparent after listening to one song. The writing style and formation of the musical pieces alone doesn't subscribe to what the band refers to as cookie cutter music. Every song must stand on its own as a unique and enveloping tune. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Hour is at Hand!
