"And FURTHURmore Susan..."

"Kicking off the Humpday Series on 1/27 was Oswego based American roots reggae septet HOUSE ON A SPRING. I'm looking forward to seeing much more of these guys in the future...."

-Kevin Amond, Upstate LIVE 3/11/2010 - Upstate LIVE Magazine

"Sterling Stage Winter Weekend Festival- Show Review"

"HOUSE ON A SPRING, I liked these guys the first time I saw them, but the sound system at The Dino definitely reinforced their playing. They played loud enough to drown out the cheers from the ongoing (Syracuse basketball) game and so good that they stole my attention away and I made my way to the front to boogie....great set!...."

-Kevin Amond, Upstate LIVE 3/11/2010 - Upstate LIVE Magazine

"Local reggae band House On A Spring uses tunes to help those less fortunate"

"Members of a local reggae band are in the process of carving a name out for themselves in the music world, while simultaneously using their music to help the community and countries beyond...."

Bio

House On A Spring is original conscious American roots reggae, dub, and hip-hop. Rhythm music for the soulful massive.

In the fall of 2003, musicians Josh Russell (keys) and Matt Brown (guitar, vocals) collectively conspired a sound combining technical rock and splashes of reggae and latin, thus forming the nine-piece version of House. Over time, the music grew to be more rhythmically based, veering from the complexities of their sound. Band members left, others were hired....until the group formed as what we all know as House On A Spring.

House On A Spring is based out of the port city of Oswego, NY, centralized in the heart of one of the strongest reggae music scenes in the country (Rochester, Ithaca, Syracuse). House has been a driving force in the continuation and growth of this communal effort of spreading positive vibes to the masses.

House On A Spring is currently utilizing their six-piece outfit to emit strong and meditative grooves combined with thoughtful, hard-hitting lyrics and esteemed delivery of chief MC, Rob Dee (vocals, percussion). Their intelligent songwriting and structural composure is often taken into realms of the improvisational, producing exciting, energetic and fresh live performances.

House has played shows all over the state of New York, running many club and festival circuits and sharing the stage with international acts such as Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, the Buddhahood, U-melt, Thousands Of One, Rubblebucket Orchestra, and the Breakfast.

The boys in House face a busy Summer with a full North East tour including festival dates at the 6th Annual Sterling Stage Folkfest, Festival Ameribeat, Upstate Uprising, and Reggae on the Ridge.

House is currently in the recording process and plan to independently release their first full-length album in the Summer of 2010.
