BandCountryAdult Contemporary

When I started this journey back in the nineties I concentrated on country music as the direction to follow. I find these days that I have grown as a songwriter and singer and I have been leaning towards movie and TV as the outlet for my music. This gives me the freedom to express my passion.

Biography

In the early 90’s I lived in LA. Where I performed and recorded cover and original songs. I also performed
in showcases from LA. To New York City. I spent
10 years in Nashville focusing on my songwriting skills and started a duo with Danny Patnode called “Partners in Ryme"
In the last year or so, I moved back to Vancouver where I started to play solo gigs.
With my sequenced keyboard ( for a full band sound) gives me the chance to play in smaller clubs where I get to play all my favourite artist and a chance to sing my own originals. I’ve been told that you can here the sound of the original artist in my voice, not that I’m an impersonator it’s just my sound.

My slogan reads “FOR YOUR LISTENING AND DANCING PLEASURE” because I’m not trapped into playing just one category of music. I carry a music library of artist from Frank Sinatra, Beatles, fifties sixties to present and of course country music.
At present I’m writing my new CD which I’m very excited about.

Lyrics

I just want you gone

Written By: Howard Lee naylor

another day has falling
I lay beside you wondering
just who the hell are we fooling
It’s no secret/ we can’t/ get along

Now this heavy heart is lifting
I sensed our world has shifting
these day’s no one listening
No need to waste a word/ were just holding on

chorus
It’s too late to talk about it
Pass the time to think about it your gone
Now this is where I want to be
convinced my heart and mind to agree it’s done

don’t want spend another day
playing another of your silly games
I see myself here on my own
since you turned my heart to stone
I just want you gone

Bridge
you know you’ve had all this power over me
someday’s it’s so hard to break free
Your heart will tell when just had enough
when know one ever sees your side of love

the only words left to saving
Are the ones we kept forgetting
We’ve been a tragedy in the making
Take our those memories/ put them on hold

Once you had my world reeling
but now I control my feelings
my mind see’s you packed and leaving
all that’s left to do/ is watch you go

chorus
It’s too late to talk about it
Pass the time to think about it your gone
Now this is where I want to be
convinced my heart and mind to agree it’s done

don’t want spend another day
playing another of your silly games
I see myself here on my own
since you turned my heart to stone
I just want you gone
I just want you gone
I just want you gone

never knew the ways of love

Written By: Howard Lee Naylor

Never knew the ways of love

verse
I thought I saw a glimpse of you walking on a busy street
Or maybe my mind was playing the same old tricks on me
Tried my best to look the other way but you can’t run from the past
when I think of how I hurt you still stops me in my tracks
Ohh what a fool I’d been

chorus
No there’s nothing I can say or do to ever make things up to you
I’ve learned to make my way living with the same old excuse
No I didn’t know enough about love
No I never knew the ways of love

verse
can you ever forgive me for acting the way I did
can’t forgive myself for every cruel word that I said
want you to know I’d change it all if we could do it over again
‘cause you were the one and I let you slip right through my hands
Ohh what a fool I’d been

chorus

Bridge
It’s been sometime since I’ve taken our pictures off the shelf
I put away the memories and did sometime all by myself
Even though we’ve both moved on those memories still sneaks out
I’m holding on to the same old song I never the knew ways of love
Chorus
