British-Canadian rock trio Howlin' Circus combine heartfelt, vulnerable lyrics with pounding rhythms and dirty guitars.

Biography

Bringing a heady mix of heartfelt rock n roll, foot stomping riffs and soulful introspection, British-Canadian trio Howlin' Circus took shape when Jafar Sandouk left his hometown of London, England days after the Brexit vote.

Settling on Toronto, Canada, where he met Adam Burnell (drums) and Bryan Swartz (bass) the band poured their efforts into putting on a great show and arranging songs for their first album. Energetic live performances across Canada and a self-titled EP released in 2017, which earned radio play in the UK, US and Canada, quickly helped establish a following and built on the live success enjoyed by playing the UK club circuit and summer festivals.

Howlin' Circus are set to release their debut full-length album, Run The Wrong Way, in February 2019.

Lyrics

Run The Wrong Way

Written By: Jafar Hassan

Honey I've been waiting a long time
Waiting for your heart to steal sunlight
And I've been worrying all over again
Trying hard not to stay sober today

Maybe this road is too long, too long to hold on
Well look where our hearts have run

I woke up this morning with an ache in my head
And the sun was crying out just to do it again
Now you see your love wash away with time, with time

You've got to run the wrong way

Honey I've been running for miles
You're buried under my denial
Your fire rages for no one
Your bad blood cedes my love

Maybe this road is too long, too long to hold on
Well look where our hearts have run

I woke up this morning with an ache in my head
And the sun was crying out just to do it again
Now you see your love wash away with time, with time

You've got to run the wrong way
