Artist: How to Operate Your Brain
Album: Self-titled EP
Label: self-released
Release: out now
As far as band names go? Terrible. Thankfully, the songs on local quartet How to Operate Your Brain's debut EP are better--a tiny bit early 2000s emo throwback, but otherwise clean and tight guitar rock replete with interesting riffage and a lot of obvious heart.
Listen to (and download for free!) all three songs on HTOYB's Bandcamp page--I'm partial to the nice and subtle opener, "The Emerald Au Pair." - Seattle List

Bio
A Seattle-based 4 piece band that prides themselves on an indie-pop sound inspired by bands like The Lonely Forest, and an energetic/progressive performance reminiscent of The Fall of Troy.
They have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Soundoff! alums Special Explosion, Cassiopeia, and Great Waves.
This summer they will be playing at Seattle University's Quadstock Festival with local bands like Land of Pines, Feet, and Tomten.
The band will embark on their first tour in June down the west coast, and return to work on their second EP.
