Bio
Originally born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Hugo Yella moved to Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 3. Growing up listening to various types of music he fell in love with hip hop in the early 90’s. He decided to start writing his own lyrics to his favorite beats using the professional name of VT. In 2011 he recorded his first song “ready to go”.
Following the release of his first single he went on to release his first mixtape “Vision Teller” in 2013 with the main single “Romo Rondo”. Shortly after in 2014 VT released his second mixtape titled “I Am VT”. This mixtape included the hit single “Crayola” with Sy Ari Da Kid on the remix. This mixtape also lead to the creation of his first music video for “Energizer Money”. He took a break and in 2016 he released “The Prelude” with DJ New Era & DJ E.Sudd. This mixtape featured the single “that’s cool”.
After an image renovation VT reemerged and changed his name to Hugo Yella. He released his first single “Talk Your SH**” on Apple Music and Spotify. Riding the wave of the well received single he released the corresponding video. In March of 2019 he released the single “Fromage”. Both singles will be on the highly anticipated mixtape “Hugo-glyph“.
